APPLICABLE RATE OF SALES TAX FOR THE PERIOD FROM 21.06.2013 TO 29.06.2013 WILL BE 16%
Federal Government vide its Notification, SRO 946 (I)/2013 dated 25th October 2013, has directed that for the period from 21st June, 2013 to 29th June, 2013, sales tax shall be charged and collected on import as well as on local supply of goods at the rate of 16% which was previously liable to sales tax at the rate of 17% .However, this reduction of rate will not be applicable in cases where the incidence of tax has been passed in terms of section 3B of the Sales Tax Act, 1990.
