Public Notice (CNG Consumer Price)

Federal Board of Revenue has issued a ‘Public Notice’ vide its letter C. No. 1(1)M(IR-Policy)/2014 dated 31.03.2014 to clarify the effect of amendment in section 3(8) of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 through the Sales Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2014 and impact of SRO ___(I)/2014 dated 31.03.2014.

FBR has clarified that by virtue of such amendments, no new tax has been levied and it is merely an administration of tax and the same will have no effect on consumer price of CNG. FBR has further clarified that price of CNG will remain the same for consumers as already notified by OGRA.
