SRO 548(I)/2012
Government has extended the amnesty schemes of Sales Tax allowed under SRO 548(I)/2012 and SRO 606(I)/2012 till 30th June, 2012. These schemes were otherwise expiring on 25th of June. Similarly, amnesty scheme of income tax under SRO 547(I)/2012 has also been extended till 30th June.
Vide SRO 760(I)/2012 dated 22.06.2012 Federal Government has exempted “urine drainage bags” from levy of sales tax on its imports and local supplies. These bags shall not be chargeable to sales tax on their import or local supplies.
Vide SRO 761(I)/2012 dated 21.06.2012 Federal Government has announced amnesty in respect of any outstanding customs duty on account of any audit observation, audit report, demand notice, any adjudication order, any un-paid or in case of inadmissible refund or duty draw back. Federal Government has waived off whole amount of penalties, fine and surcharge subject to the condition that outstanding amount is paid up to 30.06.2012.
